This is a public diary of sorts!

It's an honour to use this platform to write on & share my thoughts on life in all of it's glorious complexity - it's beautiful, messy, ugly, painful & joyous layers.

If life were a local dish - it'd be a Rojak. Loosely translated as "eclectic mix" in colloquial Malay. Made with an assortment of fruits, vegetables, dough fritters (or you tiao), puffy fried tofu, palm sugar, roasted peanuts, ground chilli, lime juice, tamarind, prawn paste (for the non-vegetarians), ginger flower & black bean paste.

Rojak in all it's glory is a sweet, sour, tangy, spicy, sometimes bitter, fruity, nutty, savoury dish of textures soft, chewy, crunchy, sticky & crispy...

On the surface it's a simple and humble dish. Yet when unpacked it is SO very layered!

So, Makan with me on this platform for all my Rojak tales of life's tangy, sour, bitter, savoury & sweet sweet layers.

Your girl,

p.s Rojak is my mum's favourite dish
